As ESS’ executive director of business development, Mike works with automakers and suppliers to highlight the significant safety problems facing disabled vehicles and their occupants along our roadways – along with ESS’ solutions to make them much more visible to oncoming motorists and help prevent related injuries and fatalities. Mike is a seasoned auto industry leader with 35+ years of experience working for global automakers and a Tier 1 supplier. Prior to ESS, he was VP of Product, Corporate and IT Planning for Hyundai Motor America, where he led the company toward a best-in-industry safety scorecard with the highest number of Top Safety Picks and Top Safety Pick Plus vehicles with the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). Mike has also held various positions at Toyota USA in Product Development, as well as Field Engineering, Field Service and other roles at Ford Motor Co.
